Our story

Named for Amanda Starr.

Days after their March 1986 wedding, Wayne and Ann began planting Christmas trees on 40 acres outside Boonville. One year later their first daughter, Amanda Starr, was born — and Starr Pines was named in her honor.

On Thanksgiving Day of 1990, three days after the birth of their second daughter Dixie Starr, Ann and Wayne opened Starr Pines to the public. Today their grandson Dylan is the third generation growing your next Christmas tree.
